Approved - but it's not overEast of England, England
Nscale Loughton AI data centre campus (Langston Road)
A data centre has had outline permission (EPF/1165/22) on this site since 2024. Press and a petition say Epping Forest District Council officers granted permission in June 2026 for Nscale's larger version without a committee hearing; what exact application this was is not confirmed. In July and September 2026 the project was reported to be delayed by years because grid power will not be available until the early to mid 2030s, with on-site generation being explored.
